The fiddly parts, done for you
Bank statements aren't written for accounting software. These are the fixes you would otherwise make by hand.
- PDF to QuickBooks files
- Turn a PDF statement into a CSV or QBO file that QuickBooks Online can upload.
- PDF to Xero files
- Get a CSV laid out the way Xero's statement import expects, with payee and reference in their own columns.
- Guided import steps
- Short, numbered instructions for your software, written for people who don't do this every day.
- Dates fixed for you
- Mixed formats like Mar 4 and 2026-03-09 become one consistent format, so nothing lands in the wrong month.
- One amount column
- Separate withdrawal and deposit columns are merged into one amount, with money going out shown as a minus.
- Ready to download
- Download a file that's ready to import. No retyping and no spreadsheet clean-up.

Questions people ask
Something else on your mind? Email us and a real person will reply.
Do I need to know accounting to use this?
No. If you can download a PDF statement from your bank's website, you can use SimpleBankConvert. The file comes out in the shape your software expects, and the import steps tell you where to click.
Which version of QuickBooks does it work with?
Files are designed for the bank file upload in QuickBooks Online. QBO (Web Connect) is also the file type QuickBooks Desktop opens, though the Desktop steps are different.
Should I pick CSV or QBO?
Both work with QuickBooks Online. A QBO file needs no column matching, so it's the quickest. A CSV is easy to open and check in a spreadsheet first. For Xero, pick CSV.
Will it read my bank's statements?
It's being built to read the layout of a statement rather than rely on a fixed list of banks, so most digital PDF statements from US banks and credit cards should work. If a statement can't be read cleanly, you'll be told, instead of getting a file with mistakes in it.
What happens to my statements?
Your statements are used only to make your import file. We'll publish exactly how long files are kept before accounts open. If you need the details now, email us.
Can I use it today?
Not yet. We're getting ready to open accounts. Choose Get started and we'll email you when you can convert your first statement.
